The search for an editor

If you're lucky your manuscript looks amazing, and an agent readily takes it on and pitches it to a publisher who then in turn edits and publishes your book. However, writing an amazing manuscript isn't so easy, and hiring your own editor at that stage is ideal. Some charge by the hour, some by the page. They also offer other services such as proofreading. I found a page of local Seattle editors that do freelance work by doing a search on a site called Biznik Click here, and got in contact with a local editor Lori Zue, hopefully to be my future editor, if all works out.
